Club Colette was the perfect setting for an intimate sophisticated evening for Jazz Society of Palm Beach. The incredible Shelly Berg Trio was enjoyed by not only Palm Beachers, but Miami, Boca Raton and Delray Beach enthusiasts as well.
Cocktails were enjoyed by the fountains on the patio and flickering votive candles were among the blue hydrangeas on small tables, setting the evening for An Affair to Remember.
Master of Ceremonies Paul Noble, Chairman of Gentleman of Jazz welcomed guests and introduced Shelly Berg. Lady of Jazz, Chairman Arlette Gordon was surprised by a beautiful cake decorated with musical notes to celebrate her birthday.
Mr. Berg dedicated Why Did I Choose You? to Jazzman Roget Pontbriand and wife Tammy, celebrating their first wedding anniversary.
Celebrated jazz artist Trish O’Brien Cole whose album Out of a Dream with all arrangements by Shelly Berg was a joy to have among us.
Accomplished Artist Vincent J. Cacace, whose well established Cacace Fine Art Gallery on Artist Alley in Delray Beach invited a group of jazz fans.
Also in attendance were owners of In The Light of Led Zeppelin Antonio Bolet, two-time Grammy nominated for his work on Flamenco Guitar and Autumn Martini considered one of the top Bass Guitarist.
Among the guests were Bebe Presenti, Dr. Lloyd Mims, Dean of Music of Fine Arts, Palm Beach Atlantic UniversityJanette Stark, Owner of SunPost, Miami Beach with friends Elsa Higginbotham and Valerie Rosenbloom, Carol and Mark Berliant, Lisa Koeper, Lourdes Ferris, Lois Clay, Lynn Day and Stan Anderson, Kitty Omura, Nicole Edieren, Valerie Austin and Valerie Blomdeau. Friends of Jazz that were able to join us were Kim and Michael O’Brien of Palm Beach Society MagazineTim Feager of Bob’s Piano and Chase Moore.
Jazz Society of Palm Beach is a welcome addition to the musical venue of our community. Look for announcements of our next season showcasing students of our area universities and professional star performers.
